By prioritizing safety, connection, and compassion, somatic therapy helps dogs gradually expand their window of presence, the range in which they can engage with their environment without becoming overwhelmed. Dogs are supported in practicing natural, species-appropriate behaviors, including sniffing, stretching, yawning, and shaking off, allowing them to relearn effective self-regulation.
This approach is grounded in established neuroscience and trauma theory, drawing from the work of Peter Levine and Stephen Porges.

At Khyzen, our approach is to empower your dog! Our class creates the foundation for success in any future training, giving your dog the emotional tools needed to confidently tackle new skills, environments, and challenges. Classes are once a week for 6 weeks - $325
This class can be repeated as many times as you and your dog need.

Helping dogs build social confidence and etiquette with other dogs.
DogSpeak Decoded: Once a month, a two-hour movie night for dog nerds wanting to understand how to read dog body language and conversations. $25
DogSpeak Private Lessons: One on one dog conversations to help your dog build social confidence and etiquette with other dogs.
DogSpeak Socialization: To help puppies build social and regulation skills. These classes are 6-weeks long. An appropriate adult dog will attend at least two of the classes to help teach puppies good manners and communication.
